Workshops
During the workshop we will prepare our fabrics for dyeing using methods of pleating, stitching, binding and folding. We will look at a variety of examples of tie dyed fabric which have been stitched and folded.
We shall make up dye baths and use them to dye our fabrics. After the dying process we will watch the fasinating patterns develop as you untie your prepared and dyed fabric.
By the end of the session you will have a collection of tie dyed fabric samples which can be used for patchwork, cushions, bags and in textile crafts.
