Tutors

Tuition will be based on individual needs according to experience. So all levels, from complete beginners to accomplished artists are welcome. This is to ensure that you will have all the help you need, to realise your ideas.

There will be group and individual activities, discussions, time for feedback and for sharing ideas.

Your dedicated tutors Maggie Holland and Carol Mowl will ensure that all the ingredients are there for you to have an enjoyable and productive time. The tutors will facilitate workshops to promote your creativity with your interests in mind.

Maggie Holland

An experienced artist and tutor, she studied textiles and the ancient art of papermaking in Japan, and sculpture and spatial design in the UK.

She has exhibited fibre artworks both in Japan and UK.

Her creative interests are broad and she has particular interest in drawing.  

Carol Mowl

Artist and educator of art and textiles Carol is particularly interested in inventing new and exciting felt that utilises the unique qualities of wool.

She is inspired by natural forms and paints landscapes to be translated into felt pictures.

Her work shows great attention to detail and uses unusual felt making techniques and mixed media.
