Beetle Felt Tutors are all looking forward to launching their new workshops and we are pleased to be able to continue to offer you good value and a great choice of workshops.

New workshops to look out for are: Creative Machine Stitch, Tie Dye, Cross Stitch Sampler and Willow Chicken. Look in the Craft Studio area for more new workshops for you and your children, to make together, for example we are making Retro Toys during half term on Tuesday 14th February 2-4pm only £10. Beetle Felt

Beetle Felt will be in the the Chorlton Arts Festival Hub in the Chorlton Precinct from Monday 5th Saturday 10th March 2012. So pop in, say hello and book yourself a treat to look forward to in the new year.

 


Beetle Felt at the Craft Lounge at Manchester Central (formally the G-Mex) 50+ show

The show is free if you pre-register. This should be a fun, action-packed day out for visitors. For instance, there are runway catwalk shows, free health checks, makeover zone, craft lounge, all-day dancing, fitness zone, motor-zone and over 100 exhibition stands.

Derbyshire Eco Centre

Derbyshire Eco Centre have recently been presented with two wonderful old dobby looms and Dee and Carol have been busy threading up one of the looms, so that the students visiting the centre would have the chance to try it out.

Felt Hat Making with Carol Mowl

Wow! Those hats are gorgeous. It's pretty good that you can make a hat from start to finish in a day. If you fancy having a go then look out for the next hat making workshop later in the year. Siobhan made a beautiful blue vessel which is a similar technique to making a beret.

Decoupage with Lisa Watson

Lisa has organised another *NEW* workshop for you to enjoy making a Cross Stitch Sampler so you have the opportunity to make an heir loom to celebrate a special day. Your sampler can be framed or made into a card.

What's on?

Chorlton Big Green Festival Ceilidh Saturday 11th Feb 2012 at the Irish Club, Chorlton, Manchester. Tickets are available from Beetle Felt Studio - £5.

The Antique Textile Fair Sunday 4th March 2012, 10am - 4.30pm Armitage Centre, Fallowfield, Manchester, M14 6HE.100 dealers exhibiting antique and vintage costumes, textiles and accessories from around the world. Talks and demonstrations.

Derbyshire Eco Centre's Spring Fair and British Wool Weekend Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April from 11am-4pm. Derbyshire Eco Centre

Longford Park Fair Chorlton Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May.

Chorlton Open Gardens Sunday June 24th 2012, 11-5pm. Raising money for victims of torture. Beetle Felt Studios Dye Garden demonstrating dyeing with plants that give up their colour to fabric and wool.
