Nuno Summer School
We spent three days exploring the Nuno technique and we experienced a riot of colours and textures to create beautiful compositions. The students were pleased with the results and produced a fantastic array of items including scarves, cushion covers and textured hangings.
This was clearly a hit with the students and as a consequence we are organising a varied timetable of summer schools for you to enjoy next year.

The Path is Finished
Thanks to Tim and Alf for making a great path so that you now have a smooth way to get to Beetle Felt studio. They went around the bend, laying the crazy paving; no I mean the crazy paving went around the bend.
Please note that you can get to Beetle Felt studio easily by tram from Manchester Piccadilly direct to St Werburghs stop in Chorlton and it is £2.80 return.

Sock Monster workshop in Old Trafford
Both the children and the play workers at the summer play scheme enjoyed creating monsters in all shapes and sizes. Everyone got stuck in stitching and invented a wonderful selection of monsters with various stripy and colourful ears, arms, legs and tails. A particular favourite of mine is the Sock snail.
Come along and have fun making a monster of your own. Let your imagination run wild and give it wild hair and make it any shape or size.

Spinning, Sewing and Dyeing
This summer I have been enjoying the opportunity to get stuck into washing and dyeing fleece. This wonderful pale but bright yellow is produced from carrot tops.
The next Natural Dyeing Workshop is on Saturday 24th September 10.30-1.30, £26.

Beetle Felt voucher

JNR8 Patchwork Hanging
During the Celebrate Whalley Range festival, children from Whalley Range decorated fabric patches by gluing, sticking and stamping on their own pictures and designs.
The pictures have been joined together to make a large wall hanging, which will be displayed at the GNR8 youth club in Whalley Range.
